Resend

This is not an outreach tool and we do not treat it like one. No warm-up, no sequences, only the automated messages a system owes someone.

What you learn in the first month

Resend does our system messaging: a form submitted, a newsletter signup, anything that owes someone an immediate automated reply. Outreach runs elsewhere, and ordinary one to one conversation runs on normal workspace email. That split decides the setup. We make sure the DNS is right and we skip the cold email warm-up entirely, because the use case is different and the volumes are closely controlled. We have not had to build around it either, because sequences, higher volume and real sending infrastructure were never its job.

We earn a commission if you sign up through some of the links on this page. What each tool teaches you is written from running it, and the hosting answer is the same whether we earn on it or not. Where there is no link, there is no programme we are part of.

Where the data sits

The United States, including when you pick the EU region. Resend offers an Ireland sending region, but states that all account data, message content, delivery logs, webhook payloads and API records are stored in the United States regardless of the sending region selected. Transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. There is no EU data residency option.

Worth saying plainly: hosting outside the EU can still be GDPR compliant. It is not the same thing as EU data residency, and which one you need depends on who you sell to. What the law actually asks of you is a separate question with a separate answer.
