Working with Blackorange
We're small on purpose.
Most agencies grow by adding people. We grow by building systems, so the work stays close to the people doing it. That means very few roles here, and the ones that exist are worth having.
How the work runs
AI does the repetitive half: reading markets, watching for changes, first drafts, monitoring, cleaning data. People do the half that needs judgement: what is actually a signal, what to say to a specific company, and when to tell a client that the honest answer is no.
Nobody here is a human copy-paste machine. If a task can be described precisely enough to hand to a person as a script, it gets built into the system instead.
How we work together
- Remote, always. Wherever you are, in whatever timezone.
- Your hours are yours. Output and deadlines are strict; the schedule that gets you there is yours to choose.
- Few meetings. Writing beats calling. A call happens when it saves a day, not to fill a calendar.
- Own the thing. You'll usually be the only person on a task, with the whole picture and the room to decide.
- Paid properly. Small team, real budgets, no juniors doing senior work for junior money.
What this isn't
- No ladder to climb, and no team to manage. The work is the career here.
- No busywork to fill a timesheet. We measure what shipped, not hours logged.
- No agency churn: dozens of accounts, none of them yours. Few clients, deeply.
- No pretending. If something doesn't work, we say so, to each other and to clients.
Who tends to fit
Less about job titles, more about how you work:
- You finish things. Ideas are cheap here; shipped work isn't.
- You can tell signal from noise, and you can explain why.
- You write clearly. Most of the thinking here happens in writing.
- You're comfortable alone on a task, and you ask early when you're stuck.
- You use AI as a tool, not a crutch. You know what it's good at, and you check its work.
