Prospeo
Matching the filter is not matching the ICP. A list can satisfy every firmographic and still be the wrong companies entirely.

What you learn in the first month
We start here because the data is accurate and refreshes often, so it is the first pass before the rest of the waterfall runs. The check that matters before anything goes near a campaign is not whether a record satisfied the filters, it is whether it matches the ICP we actually meant. Firmographics can mislead. For a list of pharmaceutical companies we often have to look at what the company makes or sells before deciding it belongs in the set, which is an ICP definition problem rather than a tool problem. The old weak spot, very small and very local datasets, has become close to negligible. Even so, one source is not a strategy: every provider has blanks, and the waterfall exists to fill them.
We earn a commission if you sign up through some of the links on this page. What each tool teaches you is written from running it, and the hosting answer is the same whether we earn on it or not. Where there is no link, there is no programme we are part of.
Where the data sits
Not retrievable. Prospeo is French, and its terms of service, data processing addendum and trust centre all render their text in the browser rather than in the page, so there is no statement to read or cite. We would rather say that than publish a region we cannot point at.
Worth saying plainly: hosting outside the EU can still be GDPR compliant. It is not the same thing as EU data residency, and which one you need depends on who you sell to. What the law actually asks of you is a separate question with a separate answer.
