The signal can be automated. Deciding what it means and whether it deserves an action cannot, and that is still the whole job.

What you learn in the first month

It is our LinkedIn signal layer, and it replaced a set of separate checks, tables and sources that had to be combined by hand. Hiring is the first signal we track with it. What it does not do, and what nothing has done yet, is judgement: a signal is worth something only once someone decides what it means and whether it deserves an action. So it feeds the layer above it rather than being the answer, and that layer is where something gets flagged when it needs attention or starts going wrong.

We earn a commission if you sign up through some of the links on this page. What each tool teaches you is written from running it, and the hosting answer is the same whether we earn on it or not. Where there is no link, there is no programme we are part of.

Where the data sits

Not published. Gojiberry is operated from Paris and its privacy policy says data may be transferred to processors in the United States or elsewhere with standard contractual clauses. It names no hosting region, cloud provider or sub-processor list, and we found no security page, trust centre or data processing agreement.

Worth saying plainly: hosting outside the EU can still be GDPR compliant. It is not the same thing as EU data residency, and which one you need depends on who you sell to. What the law actually asks of you is a separate question with a separate answer.
