Appointment setting
Paid to produce meetings. The incentive is the risk: a meeting is easy to produce and a qualified meeting is not.
Appointment setting is outbound sold on the outcome of a booked call, often with a monthly target or a price per meeting.
It aligns neatly on paper and badly in practice, because what is measured is attendance rather than fit. If you buy this way, define qualification in writing before the first campaign and agree what happens to a meeting that does not meet it, or you will spend your time in calls that were never going anywhere.
